The public artwork Formation, created by artist Mark Reigelman for SAN’s Terminal 2 Parking Plaza, celebrates San Diego’s aviation history by creating dynamic patterns from three iconic aircrafts. The work creates a unique experience for viewers as the tapestries mesmerize and provide a sense of “togetherness”, inspired by traditional weavings of indigenous people of the region.
We’re excited to share that Mark has translated these energetic designs into coloring sheets, now available to download HERE.
You’re invited to join the formation by bringing these airplane patterns to life with color. When finished, scan and email your completed artwork to colorformation@gmail.com and share them on social media with #colorformation & #SANArts. Your designs may be used in a massive colorful wallpaper display at SAN for all to see. Together we can create the largest collaborative coloring project in the world. We can’t wait to see your unique formations!
Thank you Mark for offering this fantastic creative outlet that we all need right now.
